Grandmother Jessie DeVeau with uncles George Jr. and Edwin, circa 1932. Jessie outlived her husband, George Sr., and three of her four children. Edwin, in the center, died at eight years old from strep throat, before the advent of penicillin. George Jr. succumbed to a heart attack in his late 40′s.
