Welcome to Second Best Blog. I was Salutatorian of Lassen High School Class of ’69. That has been more or less my position in the working world as well: not quite the best but almost always near the top.
That characteristic enabled me to survive four rounds of layoffs over 18 years with Ericsson, Inc. in Orange County, California – but not the fifth. Since then, it seems there is not much interest in hiring a graybeard who knows practically everything there is to know about Ericsson’s Operator Work Station but not much about C#, .Net, Java, or the LAMP development environment.
So here I am trying something new. I was encouraged to take the plunge after reading How to Make Money From Your Blog, and I’m really hoping that second best is good enough.
